Program areas at The Hunger and Health Coalition

Pantry: our pantry's goal is to overcome The stereotype that food pantry items are of poor quality and are unhealthy by providing nutritious food access to as many people as possible. By utilizing food donations from over 20 local businesses combined with wholesale food purchases, we provide 60-70 pounds of bi-weekly food support to more than 4,000 households. Our food assistance provides a balanced mix of non=perishables, fresh produce, frozen proteins, and ready-to-eat meals to allow familites to meet their nutrition needs.
Pharmacy: The Hunger and Health Coalition operates our area's only no-cost pharmacy, and provides life-sustaining chronic illness medication to 700-900 uninsured individuals each year. Clients without insurance can have their prescriptions sent to our pharmacy team to be filled, creating access to cost-prohibitive medication like insulin and inhalers. Our pharmacy provides life-sustaining medication and offers more than two million dollars in medication retail value to our community's low-income members each year.
