To provide financial assistance to pursue a high school or undergraduate college education to dependents of a safety responder who was killed or has been permanently disabled in the line of duty. To assist with the payment of expenses associated with the funeral process for a deceased safety responder. To sponsor or participate in events that honor, or to make awards to those safety responders who have rendered outstanding service to the community of Metropolitan Richmond, Virginia. To assist with the payment of living expenses pending the receipt of insurance and other benefit payments. To assist in any other manner deemed appropriate and approved by the board of directors.
