I: agriculture finance: (e.g. Aceli africa, csaf, isf, raf ll)gdi's agriculture finance focus area aims to address challenges in The agriculture, sustainability, and climate sectors. Gdi supported isf advisors and The raf learning lab in publishing leading research on The impacts of covid-19 on smallholder farmers, agricultural markets, and Global food security. This emergency research series has received over 9,000 views to date. Gdi also launched aceli africa, a first of its kind market incentive facility aligning capital supply and demand to mobilize $700m in lending to agricultural small and medium enterprises by 2025. Through these initiatives and other related efforts in The agenterprise portfolio, gdi brings together diverse players from across agriculture, finance, and climate, who otherwise may have never collaborated despite their shared goals.
Iii: health: (e.g. Leapfrog to value, health enabled, disability impact fund, citiesrise, business for health solutions)gdi's health focus area cuts across issues ranging from mental health to community livelihoods, digital health systems, and everything in between. This year, gdi is graduating citiesrise, a multi-stakeholder initiative addressing The rising tide of mental health issues among young people. Through citiesrise, gdi has brought together funders, city leaders, academics, and healthcare professionals who previously did not coordinate, and empower each to play a role in supporting mental health among young people - a critical, but often ignored, area of health. Gdi also launched several new initaitves. The leapfrog to value report and initiative has led to a portfolio of pilots designed to improve outcomes and cost-effectiveness of health systems. The oxygen hub is a network of entrepreneurs building oxygen infrastructure across sub-saharan africa. Lastly, gdi completed a preliminary design of a "technical assistance facility" to support health ventures that are critical to achieving The health-related sustainable Development goals. Ultimately through these efforts, gdi aims to bring together leaders from technology, government, and health innovation to develop cross-sector health solutions at scale.
Ii: marginalized populations: (e.g. Labor mobility partnerships, migrants resilience collective, Global fund to end modern slavery, refugee investment network, people on The move)gdi's marginalized populations focus area works to advance livelihoods, leadership, and youth Development across sectors and regions. Responding to covid-19's impact on refugees and business owners, The refugee investment network initatiive has launched The recovr (refugee entrepreneurs covid-19 resilience) fund, which raised resources to distribute in small cash grants to struggling refugee entrepreneurs in The us, through theinternational rescue committee's center for economic opportunity. For The Global fund to end modern slavery, another major initiative, gdi supported organization of gfems efforts into strategic programs to ensure efficient learning, adaptation, knowledge sharing and forward planning across teams & donors, and shaped gfems' programming and organizational strategy in response to changes caused by The covid-19 pandemic.

The release of The report catalyzing smallholder agricultural finance in september 2012 by The Global Development Incubator, authored by dalberg with support from The aspen institute, citi foundation and skoll foundation, has helped to focus banks, investors, donors and companies on meeting The financing needs of smallholder farmers around The world.
The initiative for innovative finance aims to enable The growth of bankable investments for Development, starting with an initial flagship report to establish a common language, determine what has worked and what has not worked, and identify scalable models for public and private investors.
Healthenabled facilitates Development of national integrated digital health systems in low- and middle-income countries. The organization works with a range of stakeholders to align national policies, sustainable programs, and user needs.
