Program areas at Perfect Harmony Health
Perfect Harmony Health delivers its program through a number of related services and community programs. We believe that just because healthcare is innovative does not mean that it should be a luxury. Our team specializes in treating the whole person in Harmony by connecting the brain, composing the mind, and synchronizing the body through providing therapy, resources, and community access. We aim to provide free and cost-reduced therapeutic, educational, and performing arts-based resources to families of individuals with neurologic, developmental, and neurodegenerative disease and dysfunction. This includes but is not limited to, autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, mental Health diagnoses, alzheimer's, and dementia. Our programming for individuals is in the form of neurologic music therapy, an innovative, evidence-based treatment method that works to treat the whole person in Harmony through the understanding of how music engages and changes the brain, mind, and body to yield transferable and functional rehabilitative results. Our group programming aims to use the emotional and therapeutic properties of music and the arts to engage individuals with diagnoses in social and creative groups. Just a few examples are our parkinson's choir, which meets twice a week to address the symptoms related to respiration, speech, and emotional well-being. Our teens and young adults can participate in programs like teen rock band, a pop band for students with autism, or our performing-arts troupe for all diagnoses who performed peter pan, jr. The musical in 2022 and will be performing school house rock live, jr. In 2023! Our older adults look forward to programs like memory and music or our intergenerational preschool program that brings 4 & 5-year-olds into assisted living communities for group music making.
