Program areas at The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place's (tgp) commitment to individuals and families on their cancer journey (i.e. At diagnosis, during treatment, life after treatment and grief) began over twenty years ago. Over that time, tgp has developed and implemented innovative programming and services that work to break down The isolation and lower The stresses that come with a cancer diagnosis and complements The services provided by their medical team. These programs and services address participant needs for psychosocial, nutrition, fitness, and other life enriching support and are unique service which individuals and families facing cancer cannot freely access elsewhere in The northern Ohio area.the Gathering Place's remained closed to The public until april 2022. The agency offered all our services virtually using teams, zoom, gotomeeting and conference calls. By doing this, The agency has been able to continue to provide one on one and group support along with meditation, zumba, cooking classes, and all other programming.
