Program areas at The Enrichment Center An Affiliated Chapter of the Arc
The Enrichment Center provides a wide range of services that help individuals with developmental disabilities to become more independent and self-sufficient. Their programs are designed to empower and support these individuals in their daily living, vocational and independent living skills training. Through their arts-based focus, they even offer opportunities to earn income through The sale of artwork and performances. The Enrichment Center also emphasizes community inclusion, which includes performances open to The public, jobs, volunteer work, and various community exhibits. Additionally, they provide one-on-one support services that are tailored to meet individual goals set forth in their service plans. Whether engaging in The program or going into The community, The Enrichment Center is committed to helping individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their goals and live their best lives. During The 2021-2022 fiscal year, we experienced mild growth from previous years, but not to The same level pre-covid-19. Nationwide staffing issues and covid-19 were The main factors that impacted The program. In 2020 there were many layoffs and The need to rehire returned late in 2021. To minimize The risk of covid-19 and maintain The best continuity of care day to day, we adopted a pod structure in 2020 for those who attend our day program services. This structure has remained throughout this fiscal year. B3 supported employment and vocational rehabilitation services saw An increase as employers needed job candidates who were willing to work. As a result, The individuals we serve were able to choose from multiple job opportunities that best fit their scheduling needs and job preferences. However, The number of participants served in this area was lower than previous years due to many individuals not wanting to return due to covid.
