Program areas at The Elliott Museum

The organization served The public by managing two locations: The Elliott Museum and The historic house of refuge. At The Elliott Museum, visitors enjoyed permanent exhibitions which included a foucault pendulum; historic bicycles; classic cars, trucks, boat and even a plane; baseball memorabilia; local history; americana; boat and train models; toys and dolls; solar energy; six major changing exhibitions ranged from digitized art from photographs of deep sea animals to grand touring cars. More than 30 classes were taught in The art studio plus seven one- week summer camps. At The house of refuge visitors enjoyed permanent exhibitions about The life saving station, shipwrecks, archeological materials, and local artists. Between both locations, there were over 30 lectures and hundreds of guided tours.
