Science fair - The Indian River regional science & engineering fair involves approximately 200 local volunteers, professionals, and research scientists who mentor students and review science projects. Children from public and private schools participate in scientific research and discovery that reinforces math, reading, and writing skills.typically, more than 10,000 students in The school district participate in school based fairs.
Step into kindergarten - this program was created with The goal to increase The kindergarten readiness of The 4 year old students. This will decrease The potential for summer slide by extending The school year for children who have participated during The school year in The voluntary pre-kindergarten (vpk) program. Total students served - 205
High-impact innovation grants - each year we provide The opportunity for teachers to apply for funding to help them initiate innovative programs for students in The following areas: school culture, science, math, and reading. We provide The entrepreneurial opportunity for school teams to pilot an innovative concept that advances student achievement.
Teacher recognition and development - this program provides development support for teachers in Indian River County.
Sneaker exchange, school supply and other - this program provides shoes, supplies, and vision screening for children in need.
