Program areas at The Economic Club of Washington DC
Scholarship programs:college scholarships in The amount of $20,000 each are awarded to up to 55 Washington, DC, public and charter high school seniors based on academic achievement and other factors. With oversight provided by The education committee, extensive additional support is provided to students selected for The scholarship award including mentoring, summer jobs, and other seminars devised to enhance successful graduation from college and job opportunities. Through a vigorous application process, up to 3 fellowships in The amount of $10,000 are awarded to prior scholarship winners to support graduate-level study across all disciplines.
Program events: providing regional business leaders and their guests The opportunity to hear featured speakers and gain a better understanding of Economic issues. These signature events promote a greater sense of community among The area's top executives, regional and national government officials, and The diplomatic community. Additional virtual events provide members regular opportunity for small-group peer interaction. More frequent member led forums that foster community education through topic driven discussions. These forums as well as regular executive conversations allow select members to gain in-depth knowledge about vital business and Economic issues of The day.
