Program areas at The Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs
More than 160 businesses and organizations were provided technical assistance, marketing support and custom orientations to The wide variety of supportive services offered through Downtown. More than 700 attendees enjoyed a lively annual breakfast at a new venue at ed robson arena at Colorado college. Over 1,300 stakeholders were engaged through informational presentation about Downtown - ranging from real professionals to incoming Colorado college freshman, hospitality professionals, seniors and k-12 students. Nearly 300 place management professionals from throughout The state converged on Downtown, as The Partnership hosted The annual Downtown Colorado inc. professional conference. Close to 50 businesses were represented through tours, dine-arounds, speakers and more. The drake vision tas force, an initiative of Downtown Partnership and The legacy institute, continued its work to form a recommended vision, values and guiding principles for redeveloping of The drake power plant site. This included several public meetings attended by close to 200 people. Downtown's collective voice was represented successfully on coalitions to support key policy and ballot initiatives, including pikes peak rural transportation authority, amendments to The city fire code, adoption of The Colorado commercial property assessed clean energy financing tool and policies supportive of affordable housing.
