Program areas at The Collaborative of the SCFD
K-12 school grant - provides selected k-12 public and charter schools within The SCFD counties curriculum based programming (workshops, assemblies, in-school exhibits, field trips, outreach and professional development for teachers.) In 2023-2024, The grant served 17,938 students and 3,178 adults through 321 programs.
Community database - offers all of The Scientific & Cultural Collaborative members The opportunity to efficiently maintain their own contact information for patrons gathered by subscribers, single ticket buyers, volunteers, members and donors. In 2023-2024, over 1.8 million unique households were listed. Target resource group (trg) is contracted to manage The collection and use of The database.
Pathways - each full-member organization has funding to assist schools, senior centers, libraries and others to participate in Cultural activities. In 2023-2024, pathways served 40,698 students/youth and 25,411 adults in seven counties.
Community service/networking meetings - The Collaborative conducts over 30 meetings annually for members and other Cultural partners with training and networking in The areas of education, development, marketing, community engagement, operations, equity, diversity, inclusion and access as well as volunteer coordination and visitor services. Online directory of educational activities for teachers and schools - explorableplaces.com is a national online platform that full and associate level Collaborative member organizations participate in by listing their business profile and education programs. Parents and teachers can access this platform at no charge, to find curriculum-based programs from Cultural organizations. The organization pays The fees for its member organizations to participate in The directory. Cultural partner level organizations can opt-in at a discounted member rate.
