Program areas at The Coalition for Sensible Safeguards
The Coalition for Sensible Safeguards is an alliance of more than 180 consumer, labor, scientific, research, faith, community, environmental, small business, good government, public health and public interest groups - representing millions of Americans joined in the belief that our country's system of regulatory safeguards should secure our quality of life, pave the way for a sound economy, and benefit us all. CSS was formed to empower and educate public interest organizations about the rulemaking process and how to engage in it effectively. CSS will be operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. CSS's activities include but are not limited to: offering sustained responses to attacks on public protections while promoting ways to strengthen public protections and encourage sound enforcement, holding convenings to educate organizations about current issues impacting regulations, and issuing research about rulemaking progress.
