The Barry-Robinson center operates a residential treatment facility for children who are experiencing emotional, behaviorial, educational, or social problems. The center also provides substance abuse treatment services to adolescents as well as foster care services and foster parent training. Additionally, the center offers an after school and summer camp program (next step to success) for teens from norfolk meeting family income guidelines with the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.
Barry-Robinson schools of norfolk, controlled by the Trust & exempt under irc sec. 501, was incorporated to construct & operate an independent roman catholic elementary school and incidentally provide tuition and capital assistance to the other catholic elementary schools in norfolk, va and the catholic high school serving the area.
