2022 finished with comptrust still formally open although no policies were written or payments accepted. Transfer of all policies and risk management to amfed is complete. The equity distribution process took longer to accomplish than originally thought. The longer than expected timeline helped the Associated General Contractors of Mississippi, Inc. (agc) weather the storm of fewer members because reimbursements for rent, supplies, salaries continued throughout the year.a robust year of networking events occurred in 2022 with covid delays and cancellations a thing of the past. The 401k skeet and trap shoot continued as the premier event setting a record in revenue and profits. With the endowment at the university of southern Mississippi construction and design fully funded, we turned attention to a similar endowment at Mississippi state university with a second-year payment possible because of the 401k skeet and trap shoot profits.one of agc's biggest accomplishments of 2022 was the formation of the youth leadership program (ylp). This program is designed for construction professionals under 40 years of age. Agc hopes this program will lead to more involvement from existing members and more new members. So far, that has been the case with over 50 active members in the ylp. Many ylp events occurred in 2022 including bowling get togethers, social drop-ins and a very successful golf tournament. A full slate of ylp events is planned for 2023 with member services director taking the lead in managing the ylp.membership has remained stable during 2022 and a board approved dues and job fee increase has raised revenue above historic amounts.several successful events helped raise funds for the agc pac and influence at the capitol helped keep any troublesome legislation from making the floor.
