Program areas at The Appeal of the Nobel Peace Laureates Foundation
In The past fiscal year, The Peace Appeal's primary focus was on assisting partners working on Peace and conflict transformation initiatives in myanmar, zimbabwe, The middle east and The united states. We supported The development of both existing and new institutions hosting and implementing dialogue among diverse parties working to address deep-rooted conflicts in their societies and to advance just Peace. Our work with partner institutions includes a broad range of technical assistance, small and large grants, and aid in developing financial support from other sources. In addition to our peacebuilding support to institutions working for just Peace, we also provide targeted support to assist The victims of conflict, including assistance to individuals and host institutions providing services to political refugees. While many of The initiatives we support are not public, among The highlights of The year include developments with our partners, The zimbabwe council of churches, who continue to support multiple issue based dialogues at The local, provincial and national level engaging citizens, traditional leaders, church leaders, and government representatives on issues of concern in their communities and across The country. Our principals continued their efforts supporting Peace initiatives in myanmar, cyprus, The middle east and The us.
