Wallis Annenberg petspace offers a variety of educational activities and classes designed to foster The human-animal bond, including workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and adoption events, and runs an on-site health center with a veterinary clinic, surgical suite, and animal rehabilitation center. Petspace is working closely to help address The overcrowding crisis at local los angeles shelters by partnering with los angeles animal services and los angeles county department of animal care and control to transfer animals to petspace for a medical evaluation, behavioral assessment, and potential adoption placement. Petspace is committed to an open adoption process, and in 2022 successfully placed 635 adopted animals in loving homes.petspace also runs a leadership institute to promote and serve as a platform for multi-disciplinary scholarship, gatherings to discuss domestic animal public policy, academic research partnerships, and educational curricula.
Wallis Annenberg genspace: to accomplish its charitable and educational mission, during The final stages of genspace's construction, genspace supported its new community through activities and events for its soon-to-be members, including: hosting an age friendly vaccination site, providing free online programing, hosting intergenerational conversations to reduce isolation during The covid-19 pandemic, hosting various educational and social events for older adults, and supporting interns in their aging studies.
Program related income includes adoption fees received from visitors at petspace, revenues from special events conducted at petspace, and membership dues for genspace.
Inventory sales is income merchandise sales from The petspace gift shop located within The petspace facility.
