Tbacs expanded the delivery of care to the needy, low-income, indigent, and uninsured patients in our region. Tbacs made payments directly to providers of low-income care. To date, tbacs has provided Services through over 50+ contracts with independent providers for low-income care in the coastal bend. The contracts require some combination of emergency department call coverage and low-income care Services across a wide range of specialties, including anesthesia, cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, hospitalist, neurosurgery, intensivist, plastic surgery, pediatrics, radiology, trauma and urology.
