2022 was a building year for Texan By Nature and our dreams, setting the stage for tremendous growth and impact as we move forward. We spent time developing processes and doing baseline work for the Texas water action collaborative, our return on conservation framework, the Texan By Nature return on conservation index cards, and our conservation partner network.our 2022 progress includes:a record-breaking conservation summit reaching over 600 attendees, development of our return on conservation framework, release of our first roc index cards detailing the value of local conservation for global sustainability goals & strategy, growth to 130 conservation partners, 40% growth of our txn membership program, over $2m in funding for Texas water action collaborative projects, replication of & funding for multiple txn conservation wrangler projects, 100,000+ items recycled as part of a plastics recycling pilot in el paso, tx, continued leadership in & support of statewide initiatives for dark skies, water, & pollinators.
