Program areas at Telluride Arts

Telluride Arts programming served roughly 66,920 people for in-person Arts and cultural experiences in 2023, with the addition of new public art installations established in conjunction with the town of mountain village and town of mountain village owner's association.the organization's space for the Arts program provided space and support for artists of all mediums and the community as a whole. In 2023 Telluride Arts supported 260 artists [visual, performing, and culinary], 12 nonprofits and hosted/co-hosted 98 free community events. In addition to the support provided through the main street galleries, Telluride Arts also provided studio space for 12 visual artists, in a location just outside of town, and workspace for 15 digital media artists/professionals, in the heart of Telluride. the space for the Arts program alsoencompasses the Telluride transfer warehouse, the largest investment of time, energy and funds due to the restoration and repurposing of the historic structure as a permanent space for the Arts. After receipt of approvals from the town of Telluride and the state historic foundation in 2022, the restoration process was initiated in august of 2023.through Telluride Arts marketing program the organization provided a central force to help promote the Arts within the Telluride region, including the array of cultural events, exhibitions, artists, galleries, and art institutions that comprise the vibrant Telluride Arts district. In 2023, 22 entities participated in the Telluride gallery guide, which was used in the promotion of the 10 art walks held annually in Telluride on the first thursday of each month [april and november excluded]. the organization also provided monthly eblasts that featured the local Arts scene andhighlighted one local artist; maintained www.telluridearts.org, as a hub for Telluride's regional art scene, inclusive of an artist directory, resources, and local Arts calendar; along with a social media account dedicated to the promotion of the Arts within Telluride Arts district.telluride Arts resources for artists program supported artists of all disciplines through paid gigs, artist studios, exhibition contracts, commissions, art sales, small grants and marketing. Additionally, the organization provided low-cost studios and event spaces; produced numerous visual art exhibitions and events that paid artists fair wages for their work; promoted artists through web and social media, which further amplified their impact, and celebrated each artists individual creativity.
