Program areas at Team Up Mentoring

Student life program - long term positive adult relationships make all the difference in the life of a child affected by trauma. Our elementary Mentoring program and teen leadership academy provide the opportunity for kids to learn and grow with mentors. We know that strong mental health and a solid academic base are essential to end cycles of stress and poverty. With a focus on reading at each Mentoring session, our elementary students were able to improve their literacy skills. Family life program - caregivers build resilience through relationships with our family life staff and affiliated community leaders. As well, adult clients add skills in financial literacy, workforce development, and parenting support groups.
