Program areas at TCOYD

The Tcoyd community is made up of a diverse group of actively engaged people living with Diabetes, their loved ones, and medical professionals from all 50 states and over 200 countries.in 2022, Tcoyd had nearly 100,000 monthly website visitors, over 24 million impressions on social media, over 4 million video views, and over 870,000 website page views.all of Tcoyd's virtual programs were offered free of charge. By providing free access to Tcoyd's virtual programs and sharing specialized education while promoting positivity and encouraging community connection across all social media platforms and on the Tcoyd website and digital monthly newsletter, Tcoyd impacted the lives of more than 10 million people. In 2022, Tcoyd held 3 virtual conferences with over 60 individualized expert workshops for people with type 1 and type 2 Diabetes and their loved ones for over 11,000 participants from all 50 states and 119 countries.tcoyd also held a virtual event for adults living with type i Diabetes with over 4,200 registrants from 49 states and 78 countries. The premier event for type 1s and their loved ones from around the world, the one virtual conference included cutting-edge presentations and engaging panel discussions on current t1d topics.in addition, Tcoyd held six live online workshops throughout the year with Diabetes experts discussing current topics in healthcare as they relate to Diabetes management. Each workshop included live q&a - answering questions posed by the Diabetes community. Streamed live to an international audience with over 800,000 views in 2022.tcoyd facebook community groups tailored to type 1s, type 2s, and type 3s (family members, friends, and caregivers) connect over 2,000 people from around the world to share ideas and support one another while navigating the day today of living with, or helping a loved one live with, Diabetes. The Tcoyd video vault, features a topical breakdown of all the educational and entertaining videos Tcoyd has ever created. This resource can be accessed on the Tcoyd website any place, any time for free and has over 300 videos.in 2022, Tcoyd collaborated with the american Diabetes association to educate the community about the associated risks of Diabetes and eye disease. The initiative consisted of an educational video and podcast reaching over 2,000 people.
Continuing medical education programs:tcoyd's cme programs are content rich and evidence-based, providing innovative education that impacts physicians' knowledge, competence, and performance - resulting in improved patient care. These activities cover important clinical trials and real case studies to actively engage participants to enable real-life implementation of improved practice habits. Topics covered in 2022 included: Diabetes distress: what it is, why it is important, and what to do about it, focus on time in range and modern management of type 1 Diabetes, effective use of oral medications for type 2 Diabetes: lowering cardio-renal risk while improving glycemic Control, injectable agents and cardiovascular effects, communicating effectively at the time of the t2d diagnosis: what our patients can teach us, preventing, halting, and reversing type 1 Diabetes: update in t1d research and potential novel therapies, efficient and comprehensive type 2 Diabetes management: glucose, renal, and cardiovascular health, rapid fire cgm interpretation for efficient and effective patient care, advances in treating severe hypoglycemia and more. Tcoyd's cme programs had nearly 3,000 participants in 2022.
