The Foundation is a non-profit, non-stock Delaware corporation formed exclusively for charitable, educational, scientific, and literary purposes. The purpose of the Foundation is to support and carry out activities, programs, and projects designed to preserve the diversity of local cultures, local cultural heritage, and cultural artifacts throughout the world, and to educate and empower local communities to record, preserve, and disseminate information about their cultural heritage, artifacts, history, and traditions as a means of encouraging sustainable living, diversity, respect and tolerance, and worldwide cultural preservation. To fulfill these purposes, the Foundation will provide financial support for organizations, individuals, activities and programs consistent with its charitable, educational, scientific, and literary purposes. From time to time where unesco sponsored projects are aligned with the mission of the Foundation, the Foundation will actively work with unesco.
The Foundation recognizes that respect for cultural heritage is key to promoting human dignity and tolerance. In a world made increasingly interconnected and global through technology, the value of local culture and tradition is easily forgotten. Yet that same technology can be used to record the wide diversity of cultural heritage. Through educational programming, social media outreach, and grantmaking, the Foundation will join the activities sponsored by unesco and further support growing interest in cultural heritage by supporting education regarding human cultural expression as evidenced through, among other things, social practices, traditions, and local history.the Foundation is in the process of producing an educational documentary film addressing issues championed by the young generation across the globe. The film will be distributed via social media, youtube, and other suitable channels. Revenues generated from it will be ploughed back into forthcoming educational projects.
The Foundation intends to make a lasting contribution to the preservation of such cultural expression in order to educate people about the diversity of local heritage, to protect individual voices, to encourage the sharing of those voices globally, and to help further tolerance and respect for the dignity of all people and cultures.
