SwemKids provides swimming instruction, water safety programming, aquatic training, and certifications to communities with high drowning rates. Its mission is to eliminate drownings in our communities. Thanks to funding from the Georgia Department of Education and The Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GASN), SwemKids has developed afterschool and summer programming to provide life-saving swimming and water safety knowledge.

Program areas at SwemSchool

SwemSchool is excited to have provided the life-saving skill of swimming to communities that have the highest rates in drownings. We served over 1,000 students a week across all locations, and ensured that everyone had access to this skill by working with partners to subsidize the cost of lessons.
