Program areas at Sweetwater Organic Community Farm
Organic Farm education - Sweetwater provides a hands-on, interactive field trip program for school-aged children from public and private schools, home-schools, scout troops, universities and other Community 2 groups. We also have a seasonal workshop series which highlights "how to" projects and sustainable living practices such as gardening, healthy eating and wholistic healing. Field trips run from year around. This program is supported by our csa (Community supported agriculture) activity, where members pay a seasonal fee, which entitles them to a share of the weekly harvest of vegetables during our harvest season (november through may). Membership in our csa affords not only makes our educational program possible, but also affords access to the freshest Organic produce for families. Our csa served 98 members in the 2021-2022 season.
