Program areas at Sweet Water

Provide support of staff time and related expenses to a core of project partners in the region for joint projects to improve Water quality and to guide new Water quality policy initiatives both urban and rural.
This program supports small scale programs proposed by community and neighborhood groups intended to encourage grassroots sweat equity efforts to improve Water quality. The groups have created rain gardens, promoted rain barrel use, removed invasive species from riparian corridors, and promoted pet waste pick-ups. The program is funded by grants from foundations, corporations and the metro milwaukee sewerage district.
