Program areas at Star-Telegram Charities

Families that meet poverty requirements apply for assistance, then attend an interview where it is determined if the qualifying level of poverty is met. After approval, the family receives a $50 gift card for clothing at GAP for each school-age child in the family/household. The fund provided approx 13,000 gift cards during the 2022 campaign. The source of revenue is voluntary donations from the public.
