St. Joseph of the Pines is an aging services network offering a full continuum of retirement housing, health care and community based services for older adults as well as community outreach to those in need. Our organization has been serving Southern Pines and Pinehurst for more than 60 years. Beginning in 1948, the former Pine Needles Inn operated as St. Joseph of the Pines Hospital, a 75-bed acute care facility. In 1965, the Sisters of Providence transitioned and transformed St. Joseph of the Pines into a provider of retirement living and services to older adults.
