The Squaw Valley Ski Museum Foundation proudly collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets our western skiing heritage and celebrates the legacy of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. In 2021, they maintained their momentum during the pandemic by pivoting to building a strong team of board members and advisors that brought new talents and skillsets to the organization. Additionally, it officially partnered with Placer County for its future endeavors. The museum is located in Olympic Valley, CA.

Program areas at Squaw Valley Ski Museum Foundation

Snow sports Museum accomplishments 2022: -completed mou with placer county, and confirmed partnership with placer county to begin eir application. Weekly meetings with county officials through 2022 -created, printed, and mailed 2,000 flyers, disbursed rack cards, and created monthly newsletters. -held first "fireside chat" for awareness and fundraising at incline village -held athlete panel with families, Ski club members, and competitors at palisades tahoe -new athletes were interviewed and added to the roster. -scaled back ed role by hiring an admin asst. And added responsibilities and tasks for board members. -launched production of a promo video about the museum-what, why, and how -collection and archival program commenced at auburn Ski sports Museum with teri hegpeth, archivist, and 6 volunteers. -moved artifacts and exhibits from the attic of gatekeepers Museum to the previous space in boatworks shopping center, where snow can hold meetings, and events, and welcome the public. -magic in the mountains (film) was shown in tahoe city and truckee to sell-out crowds, with ancinas, antonucci, and clark participating in q&a.
