Program areas at Spring Manufacturers Institute
Meetings - smi attended five regional meetings in 2023 and hosted the international meeting. The international meeting had approximately 30 attendees. The meeting brought together attendees from all over the world to develop and coordinate international Spring standards.
The Spring meeting (112 registrants) is held to serve the educational & professional needs of members and nonmembers in the Spring manufacturing industry.
Spring design software designed by members of the Institute & used by firms/individuals involved in the production or design of precision mechanical springs for educational purposes.
Educational seminars - to educate engineers on designing springs, to choose the correct material for the springs and to make designs based on customer specifications.
Scholarship program and benchmarking.
