Spokanimal Care

The Spokanimal team placed 4,711 animals into their forever homes in 2023 which was a record! The transfer program saved over 2,000 animals from areas that do not have successful adoption programs to fill the need for so many animals. We at Spokanimal choose to help give these animals a second chance at new lives with forever homes. We provided veterinary Care, going above and beyond for each animal in our facility and foster homes. By partnering with our local animal control agency, communities in Idaho, Utah, California, Montana, and Texas, Spokanimal was able to be a leader nationwide in compassionate life-saving Care and re-homing for animals. We continue to be a strong, vehement voice for animal rights in our community and areas surrounding us.

In 2023, Spokanimal was one of the top five adoption partners with petsmart charities reaching over 2,500 adoptions through the petsmart in-store adoption centers. The kitty cantina partnership has grown to over 1,000 adoptions annually through their business.

The Spokanimal vet clinic performed over 6,000 surgeries for adoptable animals in our Care and low-cost surgeries for owned animals to help stop the overpopulation experienced for the animals in our region. Parterships with local rescuers have doubled the surgical needs we are providing at low cost. We have continued the strong partnership with meals on wheels servicing over 300 clients annually. Spokanimal's pet food pantry was able to provide 60,000 pounds of dog and cat food to people in need for their pets.
