Program areas at Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services
Sphs leads the system of affiliate agencies to assure all administrative functions are developed and deployed using best practice models and industry standards. While the organization supports finance, Human resources, communications, legal, compliance and technology efforts, specialized initiatives are additionally supported. Currently, sphs is undergoing an information and technology enhancement and a redesign of it's staff development Services.
The sphs monessen family center has been provviding Services to families in westmoreland and Washington counties since 1997. We consider ourselves a "one stop shop" where families can obtain child development Services, supervised visits, after-schol activities, adult education, diapers, formula, baby supplies, evidenced based parenting classes, evidenced based home visiting programs, and resource and referral information. The sphs monessen family center is based on the philosophy that the most effective way to ensure the healthy growth and deveopment of children is to support families and the communities in which they live. The sphs monessen family center served over 350 families in the fiscal year.
