Description
Southwestern Indiana Historical Society promotes interest in and studies the history of Southwestern Indiana through monthly programs featuring various speakers, who receive an honorarium of $25. In 2020, due to the pandemic, only one meeting was held, resulting in a speaker's fee of $25 for the year. The program expense of $200 was for eight speakers who presented programs to the society. There were seven meetings with two speakers at one of them. The programs are free to the public as well.

The expenses for our monthly programs, not counting mailing the announcements, are the honoraria for the speakers. In 2020 we had only one meeting before COVID shut everything down, so the speaker's fee for the year was $25.00. The annual dues which we had collected at that meeting covered the expense. [The mailing expenses for the February meeting and the planned March meeting (which was cancelled a few days before it was scheduled to take place) were also $25.00, for the two sheets of stamps and the printing costs.]
Southwestern did not receive any requests to sponsor historical projects in 2020, but we understand that we will receive a project proposal in 2021.
Southwestern did not feel safe in sponsoring a tour in 2020.
