Description
The Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association fosters and preserves the health and well-being of animals, prevents the spread of disease to both animals and people, and protects the institution of, and camaraderie within, veterinary medicine by educating both the public and the veterinarians. They provide member vets in the low-cost rabies drive, which helps vaccinate thousands of cats and dogs every year in partnership with Jefferson and LA/SPCA. The association also maintains rabies ordinance and provides rabies tags for the city of New Orleans and surrounding parishes.
