Program areas at Cancer Connection
Travel assistance grants for Cancer patients traveling outside of southeast Alaska for Cancer treatment and assistance for counseling and special needs. In addition to travel grants, Cancer Connection also subsidizes a one bedroom apartment in seattle for residents of southeast Alaska.
Education events; annual women's health forum, annual men's health forum, and booths at all public health events.
Support group programs for women with breast Cancer and general Cancer support group, Cancer support group meets once a month. Provided "let's talk" a one-to-one survivor support network. Support group expenses include an annual celebration national Cancer survivors day.
