Program areas at South Florida Arts and Counseling
Mental health Counseling and psychotherapy services for children and adult population: offered via telehealth to individuals and families struggling with mental and emotional instabilities including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, prolonged stress disorders, couples' issues, domestic violence, trauma, addiction, among others. The program focuses on improving individuals' levels of functioning by increasing their capacity for self-actualization, achievement, and independency.
Community advocacy, outreach, and education: it offers information, articles, education, and guidance about mental health in order to increase awareness and reduce the stigma.
Counseling services through the implementation of music: alternative way of Counseling through the utilization of music instruments focusing on creativity, strength enhancement and skill development. The program targets areas such as anxiety, depression, adhd, odd, panic attacks, trauma, grief, eating disorders, anger management, intermittent explosive behaviors, conduct disorders, identity issues, bullying, self esteem, social interactions, communication issues, autism spectrum disorders, dementia, alzheimer's, and parkinson's.
