Tn person centered music program - Soundcorps partnered with the tn arts commission to become the primary nonprofit administrator of the tn person centered music program, which offers Tennessee nursing home residents, including those with dementia and alzheimer's, personalized music through digital devices to deliver individualized playlists to reduce medication usage and adverse behaviors while improving quality of life and health outcomes. The program is offered to all tn nursing homes, with approximately 150 participating facilities. This program has enabled Soundcorps to expand with three new staff positions which split time between the tn person centered music program and other Soundcorps initiatives and duties.impact: 1,200 assisted living faciity residents, 10 staff/interns
Soundcorps programming is designed to help the local music industry professionals build their careers through training, resource development, and networking. Individuals impacted during the 2022 number at 51,369. These programs include online activities, including bandwidth, and events including rock'n roll draft, st paddy's day on the parkway, rail and hops brewers festival, noontunes, main x 24 adult big wheel race, gear swap and summerween. An online music industry directory is also available with over 1,200 profiles. The chattanooga hip-hop summit - the 2022 chattanooga hip-hop summit, a program of Soundcorps, is a community-led initiative that has quadrupled in size from year to year. In 2022, the summit accelerated the careers of local hip-hop artists and music industry professionals through networking, professional development workshops, panel sessions, and performance opportunities that highlight the wealth of chattanooga area talent to be cultivated locally, regionally, and nationally.impact: 120 local artists, 700 attendees, 25,000 reached via social media
Sidewalk stages - Soundcorps' street performance initiative continues to be a flagship program which enjoys wide recognition throughout the community for activating public spaces with live, local music from april through october. In 2022, over 500 sidewalk stages were enjoyed by approximately 150,000 passers-by, with around 10,500 directly engaging with the artist by donating a tip.impact: 10,500 passers-by who engaged with local musicians at some point in 500 performances.
Soundbites - soundbites, formerly known as the chattanooga pitch sifter is a monthly local music subscription service which delivers five new locally produced songs to subscribers for just $5 per month. Each year features 60 new locally-produced pieces of music spanning a host of genres to attract an unexpectedly diverse demographic of subscribers who are dedicated to chattanooga's music scene.impact: 100 subscribers, 180 musicians
Road to nightfall concert series - road to nightfall is a band-building, networking, educational experience that offers the opportunity for local bands to play in front of thousands of people by headlining nightfall on the miller plaza stage. The 2022 series featured 20 bands with over 100 participating musicians who competed for a chance to perform on the big stage. Young up-and-coming band lilac line took the prize this year and blew the nightfall audience away with their dialed-in rock'n roll aesthetic.impact: 100 musicians, 750 attendees
Take note - Soundcorps was delighted to offer a takenote panel session focused on how local musicians can prepare themselves for partnership with a record label. The session featured panelists organized by Soundcorps board member liz morin of shobiz row music publishing who brought nashville-based label representatives to offer guidance and make connections.impact: 55 local musicians in person, 40 online participants
