Discovery stack pilot - a pilot effort in remodeling scientific publishing and peer review to make papers open access, control the tap on reviewing, make a superior platform, and return the profits to Science. A first design pass was launched in 2023; the discovery stack pilot was launched in 2024
Immunoskamania conference - immunoskamania 2024, a conference to gather senior faculty, principal investigators, and other notable people in the immunology and cancer therapy fields to convene around making Science better, and in particular, discussing ways senior scientists in academia can use their power to change the culture of Science. It was co-sponsored by ucsf and Solving for Science, and grants were given for travel to ensure some key people could attend who otherwise could not have made the trip.
