Program areas at Solid Ground Washington

Transportation: to provide specialized transportation to people living with disabilities or on low incomes to access community support services. In 2018, provided over 264,000 trips to clients to get to work or other life enriching activities.

Residential services: to provide service enriched housing, including emergency shelter and transitional and permanent housing, life skills, childrens programs, and financial assistance to residents. In 2018, safely housed 361 households, helped another 246 households obtain safe and affordable housing, and provided 370 mothers and their children a safe haven from domestic violence.

Stabilization services: to educate and empower people with tools to solve problems that jeopardize housing through housing advocacy, case mananagement, and limited financial support to help people find and/or maintain safe, permanent housing. In 2018, provided counseling, loans and grants to help over 4,000 individuals, legal aid to 449 individuals to obtain government benefits, over 18,000 individuals were linked to essential resources through telephone referrals, and over 1,800 individuals were educated and empowered to achieve greater financial stability.
