Program areas at Society for the Blind

In 2018, 5,848 individuals from throughout the sacramento region wereassisted by our services and programs; 189 general rehabilitationclients received a total of 13,232 hours of blindness instruction.

In 2018, 5,110 calls were placed to access news, where they could hearnewspaper and magazine articles, community events calendars, sales adsand more over the phone.

In 2018, 534 people were helped through our low vision clinic by anoptometrist specializing in low vision and low vision aids.
