Sky Dog Sanctuary

In 2020, Sky Dog Sanctuary continued to successfully care for over 150 wild equines rescued from terrible situations, owner and trainer relinquishments, and from kill pens. As well as families reunited at our 9,000-acre Sanctuary, which we expanded.in this year, Sky Dog Sanctuary assisted in saving over 100 mustangs by working with other rescues and sanctuaries to train and adopt out two- and three year-old unhandled wild horses who had landed in the slaughter pipeline as a result of the blm adoption incentive plan paying the public $1,000 per horse adopted.we again increased our social media reach to raise awareness for wild mustangs and burros and were awarded a blue tick verification on instagram and facebook as a top nonprofit and influencer. We were awarded platinum status by guidestar for our continued transparency and high standards.sky Dog Sanctuary reunited another two wild horse families and took in some special needs mustangs and burros from blm corrals, as well as some deemed unadoptable.sky Dog Sanctuary increased our sponsorship and patreon programs allowing us to have a steady stream of support without having to do emergency fundraisers.we also continued to call for the passing of the safe act to stop horses from being shipped for slaughter in mexico and canada.
