Program areas at Sierra Nevada Teen Ranch

Over the years, Sierra Nevada Teen Ranch (SNTR) has continued working with teens and raising funds to purchase land and a house in a ranch-like setting where we could provide more services to help at-risk youth. In 2018, we received a significant donation to build the house. SNTR completed construction and furnished the house in winter of 2020. We are now receiving clients and had our first youth this year. We offer a 24/7 short-term residential treatment program which consists of on-site schooling, vocational exploration, individual and group counseling, spiritual awareness and growth, life skills, anger management, gang awareness, and a host of recreational activities among other things. (continued on Schedule O)The home is 2800 sq ft housing 8 youth with a workshop and garage on 30 acres of land surrounded by Bureau of Land Management land. Vocational Exploration includes Landscaping & Design, Animal Husbandry, Onsite Accredited Schooling, Facility Development & Management, Food Prep, Gardening, and Construction. SNTR also provides recreation opportunities to youth including Sports, Indoor Games & Activities, Hiking, Camping, Horseshoes, BBQs (Pit, Smoker, BBQ) and picnic/meeting area plus the enjoyment of a large Koi Pond.
