Program areas at Shared Spaces Foundation
Heron's Nest Educational Programs - we offer skill shares including welding, carpentry and landscaping every week, we pay volunteer stipends for the skillshare events
Land steward program - we pay stipends to volunteers to come steward the land twice a week, the land will eventually give back to the Duwarmish Tribe. Expenses include rent, utilities, advertising to recruit volunteers, repair and maintenance.
River Access Paddle Program - Clean the Duwarmish River every week. We also take people out on kayaks to teach them the history of the river. Thus, we need to pay the leads/volunteers stipends. Other expenses would be the kayak, materials for the programs.
Reforestation Program
Summer markets - every summer between May and November, we organize an art and culture market for local communities to come gather and learn cultural art.
Atlas Summit Schools - we collaborated with Atlas Summit School in which we provided skill training, cultural lessons, outdoor activities, etc.
