A unique education: students engage in a plethora of extensive hands-on training, whether they are gifted students, or have special learning or behavioral needs. In addition to the dedicated teachers at the school, students are partnered with horses, who necome a vital role in their advancement in the field of veterinary medicine and academics, along with psychological development maturity and leadership to enable them to succeed in todays global society. Students also embark in rigorous agricultural business management through their individualized positions in the agricultural operations of the school. Accomplishments of high school students and graduates of the school include obtaining major college scholarships, biology majors, scientific publications, conducting humanitarian trips, company vice president, u.s. Naval caoprman in the military, and acceptance to summer u.s. Naval Academy program. In addition, students with special behavioral or education needs have thrived under the hands-on system of education and development while far exceeding their psychological diagnosed outcome. The students have engaged in many aspects of agriculutral business, living successful, independent lives, and participating in international humanitarian work. Animal and marine science: svpa encompasses animal science and aminal husbandry in a variety of ways: equine research and development, dairy production, beef production, animal husbandry in sheep, goats and poultry production. Extensive marine biology programs and research expand our students knowledge to new depths, bringing a well-rounded, understanding of the planet on which they live. These programs allow ouor students to be engulfed in world conversation on issues from animal protection to clean water, restoring the coral reefs, agriculture land trusts, organic farming, land preservation and overall planet sustainability. Humanitarian world view: spva staff and students use their pre-veterinary, animal science and marine biology skills, along with their business leadership, to train and inspire underprivileged young people in both the u.s. and central america. Hundreds of orphaned children have been impacted by these programs annually and many have gone on to aspire to heights they never seen even imagined. Through the honduras horsemanship mission project, children, teens, and young adults have learned the principals needed to embrace lifes trials, tragedies and and circumstances with a bold, positive attitude. This has led to success in school, international leadership programs, international translation positions for medical teams, small business entrepreneurial and agricultural business management positions. Through business training, development, support and long-term relations through these humanitarian projects, those less privileged have grown to break the chains of poverty within their families and communities.
