Transportationcommunity coachdoor-to-door wheelchair-capable pick-up and drop-off service to eligible customers throughout indian river county. Community coach: 47,327 one-way trips.golinepublic transportation service on 14 fixed routes in the county for riders 12 years or older, riders under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Goline: 1,167,612 one-way trips.
Meals on wheelsvolunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals and a daily wellness check to homebound seniors. 644 unduplicated homebound seniors received meals on wheels. 124,724 home-delivered meals served.social congregate mealsgives mobile seniors an opportunity to socialize with others while enjoying a hot nutritious meal at five locations throughout indian river county. 106 unduplicated mobile seniors received congregate meals. 12,382 congregate meals served.
Senior support servicescase managers coordinate with seniors (and their caregivers) to identify and arrange for the services needed to support the individual in their home. In-home support includes: companionship, homemaking, personal care, meals, and respite. 152 older adults received in-home services. 87% of case-managed clients were deferred from facility placement. 1,224 individuals received information and referral services related to meals on wheels and case management placement.76 households were assisted through the emergency home energy assistance for the elderly program.
Adult enrichment and respiteadult day care: provides coordinated health, social, and therapeutic activities in a supervised group setting for adults with functional and/or cognitive impairments. 88 unduplicated clients served; 76% deferred from nursing home placement
Guardian programon july 1, 2019, Senior Resource Association was appointed as a public guardian for the 19th judicial circuit. Senior Resource Association provides public guardianship services to persons in indian river county who do not have adequate income or assets to afford a private guardian, and there is no willing family or friend to assist them.
