Program areas at Self-Help Homes
Mutual Self-Help Housing, land acquisition, land Development, raising capital, homebuyer financial funding, contract management, and homebuyer education. Self-Help Homes (shh) assisted 13 low and very-low income families start to build their own Homes through the mutual Self-Help Housing program. At september 30 2022, shh had started and/or completed 594 Self-Help single family Homes. In addition, shh assisted in providing 35 families with secondary construction and/or permanent mortgages/grant financing to help them both purchase and construct their Homes. Shh assisted over 250 families in homebuyer education counseling. Shh purchased and/or developed over 150 lots in its service areas in Utah, wasatch, Washington and now juab county in the state of Utah fifty-three (53) Homes were also finished in those geographical areas included in the numbers listed above.
