Program areas at Seeds of Wisdom
Our community partnerships program provides direct funding and technical support to indigenous communities worldwide to ensure that their Wisdom can continue to flourish for generations to come. Funds cover projects such as pilgrimages to sacred sites, ritual, ceremonies, language preservation, traditional food ways, art and traditional medicine, and programs for youth and elders. In 2021 we provided 36 grants and one Wisdom treasure award.
Experiential programs - these include ancient Wisdom rising, our bi-annual gathering of elders from around the globe, and voices of Wisdom, a regional event that brings together elders with local communities. Traditional elders are repositories of human experience and Wisdom accumulated over millennia. This irreplaceable Wisdom is just as practical today as it was thousands of years ago. And it is the basis for creating a future we would like to see for our children.
Media project - through videos, podcasts and social media we strive to raise awareness of the values of indigenous perspective with the hopes to transform society.
