Since inception, the Foundation has provided in excess of $1,326,500 in tuition scholarships to assist young people with Type I diabetes attend colleges and universities.
The Foundation is raising funds to provide college scholarships to youths with type i diabetes. Twenty scholarships totaling $124,000 were funded in the fiscal year ended october 31, 2015.
The organization organizes and manages a celebrity / amateur golf event to raise funds for scholarships. In addition, due to the celebrity status of many of the participants, media attention is given to the event. This, in addition, gives the organization valuable exposure, which in turn raises awareness about issues experienced by people with diabetes. By raising awareness the organization is able to more effectivly fundraise to support its exempt purpose.
