Program areas at School Nutrition Foundation
Invest in us:this endowed fund created in 1993 provides a reliable source of income to help fund special public education and awareness efforts targeting all those who influence the eating habits of children as well as the children themselves.
L.e.a.d. (learn, educate, advance, develop) to succeed was made receive an equipment grant for up to 10 pieces of kitchen equipment. Possible through a grant from usda food and Nutrition service, and developed with a team from georgetown university mcdonough School of business. Theinitiative addresses workforce development needs for School Nutrition professionals in the areas of personnel management and communication, marketing and consumer service.
Professional growth and other scholarships:the School Nutrition Foundation provides scholarships for School Nutrition association (sna) members to pursue their education dreams and to attend sna conferences. Also, in partnership with equipment industry members, snf offers an opportunity for School districts to receive an equipment grant for kitchen equipment.
Other program servicesthe Foundation works with certain schools operating as Nutrition hubs that participate in and maximize all federal child Nutrition programs available, in addition to the national School lunch program, which includes School breakfast, afterschool meals and summer meals. They help provide children with access to the Nutrition they need during the School year and in the summertime.

The purpose of this grant is to support your critical work to end childhood hunger through the creation of resources, peer to peer engagement, provide technical assistance, and professional development for School Nutrition professionals.
