Program areas at Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation
The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (sssf) provides youth development through the Shooting Sports. Sssf manages clay target and action Shooting youth development programs in which adult coaches and other volunteers use Shooting Sports to teach and demonstrate sportsmanship, responsibility, honesty, ethics, integrity, teamwork, and other positive life skills. Athletes compete in team-based Shooting Sports where there is no such thing as being "benched", offering a truly level playing field to all.sssf through the Scholastic clay target program (sctp) had 737 teams from 45 different states. There were 15,844 athletes and 3,923 volunteers involved with the program. Program staff and volunteers conducted 100 coach education classes certifying 749 coaches. The sctp conducted 1,301 competition events with 110,782 event entries.
The Scholastic clay target program and the Scholastic action Shooting program provide support to member teams' endowment accounts held at the midwayusa Foundation. Team endowment funds arb earned by member teams through a variety of fundraising activities.
Sssf through the Scholastic action Shooting program (sasp) had 127 teams from 35 different states. There were 1,551 athletes and 557 volunteers involved with the program. Program staff and volunteers conducted 13 coach education classes certifying 104 coaches. The sasp conducted 41 competition events with 7,053 event entries.
The Foundation also provided support to its operational endowment funds at the midwayusa Foundation.
