the sole purpose of Save the Light Inc is to Save the morris island lighthouse, (which is owned by the state of sc). This project is expected to take several years primarily due to the necessity of raising sufficient funds. To date we have spent in excess of $6 million on phase one. the next phase will not be implemented until sufficient funds are raised. Future ependitures are estimated to be in excess of $3 million. During 2022 there were project expenditures made in the amount of $800,000. In 2022 the board of directors requested and received a contribution of $800,000 from the state of sc.
